Warranty Policy

Tate Studio guarantees that our furniture is free from defects in materials and workmanship. This warranty covers manufacturing defects from the date of delivery.

 


 

1. WARRANTY COVERAGE BY PRODUCT

Seating Furniture

Sofas, Armchairs, Ottomans, Poufs
Coverage: 1 Year Limited Warranty

  • Frame structure

  • Soft furnishings (foam, fabric, leather, stitching)

  • Mechanisms (zippers, springs, adjustable parts)

Dining and Storage Furniture

Dining Chairs, Tables, TV Cabinets, Sideboards, Bookcases, Shelving
Coverage: 1 Year Limited Warranty

Beds

Bed Frames, Storage Beds, Sofa Beds, Daybeds
Coverage: 1 Year Limited Warranty

Mattresses

Coverage: 10 Year Limited Warranty

  • Manufacturing defects in materials

  • Sagging exceeding 1.5 inches

  • Structural defects in springs

NOT Covered:

  • Fabric stains, burns, or tears

  • Normal body indentations under 1.5 inches

  • Comfort preferences (too firm/soft)

  • Damage from improper foundation

Lighting and Electrical Items

Coverage: 1 Year Limited Warranty
(Bulbs not covered unless defective upon delivery)

Soft Furnishings

Rugs, Cushions, Throws, Bedding
Coverage: 1 Year Limited Warranty

Decorative Items

Tableware, Mirrors, Wall Art
Coverage: 1 Year Limited Warranty

Other Décor Items: 6 Months Limited Warranty

 


 

2. WHAT IS COVERED

This warranty covers manufacturing defects including:

  • Frame breakage or structural failure

  • Defective materials (fabric, leather, wood)

  • Poor workmanship (stitching failures, loose joints)

  • Malfunctioning mechanisms (drawers, hinges, recliners)

  • Finish defects (peeling, bubbling)

  • Premature material deterioration (beyond normal use)

 


 

3. WHAT IS NOT COVERED

This warranty does NOT cover:

Normal Wear and Tear:

  • Natural aging and color fading

  • Minor scratches or scuffs from regular use

  • Gradual cushion softening

  • Natural wood patina development

Misuse and Neglect:

  • Damage from improper use or abuse

  • Exceeding weight limits

  • Outdoor use of indoor furniture

  • Exposure to extreme temperatures or humidity

Improper Care:

  • Damage from harsh cleaners or chemicals

  • Stains and spills not cleaned promptly

  • Failure to follow care instructions

Accidents and External Damage:

  • Burns, cuts, tears, or scratches

  • Pet damage (scratches, bites, stains)

  • Water damage or mold

  • Fire, flood, or natural disasters

Unauthorized Modifications:

  • Alterations by customer or unauthorized parties

  • DIY repairs or refinishing

  • Use of non-original parts

Natural Variations:

  • Wood grain patterns and color variations

  • Natural markings in leather or stone

  • Minor dimensional differences in handcrafted items

  • Color differences from website images

Other Exclusions:

  • Subjective issues (comfort, color preferences)

  • Products from unauthorized resellers

  • Display models or "as-is" items

  • Commercial use (unless commercial warranty purchased)

  • Damage after delivery acceptance

 


 

4. HOW TO MAKE A WARRANTY CLAIM

Step 1: Report the Issue

Include:

  • Order number and date of delivery

  • Product name and description

  • Detailed description of the defect

  • Clear photos/videos showing the issue from multiple angles

  • Copy of your purchase receipt

Important: Visible defects must be reported within 7 days of delivery. Late reports may be considered acceptance of the product.

Step 2: Assessment

Our team will review your claim within 24-48 hours and may:

  • Request additional information or photos

  • Schedule a video inspection

  • Arrange an in-person inspection (if necessary)

Step 3: Resolution

If your claim is approved, we will:

Option A - Repair:
Arrange for repair by our authorized technicians (parts and labor covered under warranty)

Option B - Replacement:
Replace the defective item with identical or equivalent product (we arrange pickup and delivery)

Option C - Refund:
Issue refund if repair/replacement is not feasible (processed within 7-10 business days)

Step 4: Return (if applicable)

  • Product must be returned in condition received

  • We arrange pickup from original delivery address

  • Pickup typically within 7 business days of claim approval

 


 

5. CARE AND MAINTENANCE REQUIREMENTS

To maintain warranty coverage, you must:

General Care:

  • Clean furniture regularly with appropriate methods

  • Avoid harsh chemicals and abrasive cleaners

  • Wipe spills immediately

  • Keep away from direct sunlight and heat sources

Upholstery:

  • Vacuum regularly

  • Rotate and flip cushions periodically

  • Follow fabric care labels

Wood:

  • Dust with soft, dry cloth

  • Use coasters and placemats

  • Avoid extreme temperature changes

Mattress:

  • Use proper foundation or bed frame

  • Rotate every 3-6 months

  • Use mattress protector

  • Keep dry and clean

Improper care voids the warranty. Detailed care instructions provided with each product.

 


 

6. WARRANTY LIMITATIONS

Remedy Limitation:
Our sole obligation is to repair, replace, or refund (at our discretion). We are not liable for installation costs, shipping costs (beyond what we arrange), or indirect damages.

Time Limitation:
Claims must be filed within the warranty period. Late claims will not be honored.

Geographic Limitation:
Warranty service available within India. International customers may face additional charges.

One-Time Service:
Repaired/replaced items covered for remainder of original warranty period only, not a new warranty period.

 


 

7. COMMERCIAL USE

This warranty applies to residential use only. Commercial use voids the warranty unless a separate commercial warranty was purchased. Contact us for commercial warranty options.

 


 

8. POST-WARRANTY SERVICE

After warranty expires, we may offer paid repair services. Contact info@tatestudio.in for:

  • Replacement parts availability and pricing

  • Paid repair services

  • Maintenance recommendations

Post-warranty costs include materials, labor, and shipping fees.

 


 

9. PROOF OF PURCHASE

Keep your purchase receipt or order confirmation email. This is required for all warranty claims.

 


 

10. FRAUDULENT CLAIMS

Submitting false or misleading warranty claims may result in:

  • Claim denial

  • Account termination

  • Legal action

Warranty fraud is a serious offense and will be prosecuted.

 


 

11. LEGAL RIGHTS

This warranty gives you specific legal rights. You may also have other rights under applicable consumer protection laws. Some jurisdictions do not allow certain limitations, so the above may not fully apply to you.

 


 

12. WARRANTY MODIFICATIONS

We reserve the right to modify this Warranty Policy at any time. Changes effective immediately upon posting. Warranties in effect at time of purchase continue to apply to that purchase.
